Born in a middle class family in Bareilly (U.P.) in 1956, Amita Saxena had her graduation in
Science and post graduation in Hindi Literature. She had first introduction of Hindi literature
through her school library. She started writing articles during college days and won first
prize twice in the writing competitions conducted by Manorama, a prestigious and popular
Hindi magazine of that time.
The continuity of writing got disrupted in midst of the family responsibilities after marriage,
but her deep interest in Hindi Literature got more and more enriched with the continued
reading and day to day life experiences. She is now settled in Noida.
This is her first novel, signalling her gracious comeback in the field of writing in Hindi. Her
other interest area are Politics and Indian Philosophy.
