Amanullah. A is a writer, translator, researcher and teacher. His research interests lie at the emergence of sorcery in the Muslim community and its relations with other religions. He has written extensively on the superstitious believes and practices of the Muslim community and the role of Sorcerers and Soothsayers behind it. He is working as Assistant Professor at the Department of Islamic History, Government Brennen College, Thalassery, Kerala. He also worked as the Chairman, Board of Studies, Islamic History (UG), Kannur University, between 2013 – 2016. In 2014, he translated ‘Jinn and Human Sickness’ of Dr. Abul Mundir Khalil bin Ibrahim al Ameen into Malayalam language. In 2015, he translated ‘Sifat Ruqyatun Nabi’ of Abu Abdu Rahman Abdullah bin Ahmad al Iriyani into Malayalam language.
