Aradhana Deogharia is the Founder and President of “NAVYA FOUNDATION USA & a non-profit organization to promotes Music Therapy programs in the USA and India. Her research studies and writings are one of their own kinds of work in Music Therapy. She holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work with a specialization in Mental Health and Counseling. She is also an affiliated Neurologic Music Therapist from The Academy of Neurologic Music Therapy, University of Toronto, Canada. She is a trained Indian Classical Singer and her research areas are Music Therapy and Mental Health in the Indian Context, Therapeutic Singing with Seniors, Music Therapy and Emotion, Music Psychology, and Neurologic Music Therapy in Rehabilitation. She is a recipient of a Special Congressional Recognition Certificate from the U.S. House of Representatives of California for her outstanding work in bringing wellness and therapy in the form of music, dance, and brain stimulation exercises to enrich the senior community. The California State Assembly also recognized her for her dedicated efforts to teach wellness and therapy programs to senior citizens to avoid loneliness and maintain peace of mind to stay healthy and happy during the COVID crisis.
