Born on 23 January 1963 in Darbhanga, Bihar, I was brought up in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh where my father worked with BHEL. Hailing from Bihar, I completed my education from Bhopal with a Masters’s in Hindi along with B.ed. Getting married at a very young age of 16, I started working as a teacher until 2018, not only as a Hindi teacher across various schools but also as a dance teacher and home tutor. During the same period, I also got an opportunity to work as a newsreader with a local channel and even took part in the local elections. It was during this journey, along with the complexities of life, that I started penning down my thoughts and emotions in the form of beautiful poetry; not only the lows but also the highs.
