Although this is Avani’s first published work, she has been an educator for 18 years, who has always loved language and word play, but never really loved herself enough to share her words. It is somewhat ironic that when you play the game of life, according to Avani, without ever really knowing the rules, you end up experiencing so much that the words practically leap onto the paper, seep into the pages and wait patiently until you are prepared to share them with the world. Puducherry has been her permanent home since 2018 and where she continues to teach English Language as a volunteer at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, but first and foremost, as a devotee of the Mother and Sri Aurobindo. This paragon of a city has proven to be the one place capable of stirring her from her stupor.
