Shri Banerjee is a retired officer of State Bank of India. He did his post graduate degree M.Sc
in Zoology in 1974 and M.A. in Economics in 1976 from Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur
University erstwhile Gorakhpur University. He was working in SBI in computer field.
He is a passionate reader of different types of books in English, Hindi and Bengali. He has an
inclination towards writing since his student career. He is able to imbibe and absorb the
essence of life of his fellow being and surroundings. He used to write for local magazines
from time to time. Ultimately all these above factors made Shri Banerjee to compile his 62 poems in form of a
book ABHILASHA.
