Dr. Tanuka Chattopadhyay is a Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics, University of Calcutta. She has a keen interest in traveling, writing, human relationship, and eastern and western musical compositions. She has published many articles regarding these topics. She has published textbooks from national and international publishers and has published many scientific papers in leading international journals. She is a visiting Associate of the Inter-University centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA). She is a fellow of the West Bengal Academy of Sciences (WAST), a member of the International Astrostatistics Association (IAA), and the International Astronomical Union (IAU). She has been jointly awarded ‘Outstanding Publications in Astrostatistics’, 2016 by International Astrostatistics Association for ‘Statistical Methods for Astronomical Data Analysis
