Dut Alsherif is a South Sudanese student who came to India in July 2019 with the help of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), after he won the government-sponsored scholarship for the undergraduate programme. He is currently a student at Deviprasad Goenka Management College of Media Studies, one of the media colleges affiliated to Mumbai University, where he is pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia and Mass Communication as a second-year student.
