Mantasha Maqbool hails from a city associated with the Goddess Shakti (Sharda Devi temple) and also known for gifting the world the legendary music maestro of Indian classical music, Ustad Allauddin Khan. Her educational background is engineering in computer science and technology from Jamia Hamdard University, New Delhi. She has co-authored two Hindi books titled Siyaahi and Ehsaas.
