Mukesh M Kumar (b.1953) was born in Ara, Bihar. He went to Netarhat School for his high school and graduated with English from St. Xavier’s College, Ranchi. Mukesh in an MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University. Mukesh has always been a storyteller. A habit that started with entertaining his younger siblings, cousins, friends, and classmates when he was no more than 10 and TV was yet to proliferate into the Indian homes. Some of them still remember the stories of Henry and Melvin, two fictitious characters created by him. His writing skills took a back seat in early adulthood but could not be suppressed for long. It broke out of its corporate cage in the early 90s when Mukesh left his job and started writing screenplays for TV. Now, with about a dozen shows and a couple of movies in, he has ventured into writing his favorite, long-overdue genre, the short story. Jumping between writing, photography, and sketching, he is never idle and constantly in search of his next muse, and creative project.
