Ramcharan Harshana has been writing short stories in English since 1980. His short stories have been regularly published in several reputed periodicals and magazines. He also has tried his hand at writing fiction in Hindi. In addition he also has translated in to English a number of books written in Gujarati. The present collection of short stories The Hunt for An Egg is his first collection of English Short stories containing the tales of everyday human life of ordinary people portrayed in a hilarious manner with profound irony and subtle humour. The tales depict the themes of day to day conflicts of the human society. Each story reveals the different colours of a variety of moods of the people we encounter routinely around us.
