Shahid Shafi is working in the Department of Animal Husbandry, Union territory of Jammu and Kashmir as a veterinary pharmacist since 2016. He is an ex-student of the University of Kashmir, department of English. He has qualified State Eligibility Test in English conducted by the University of Kashmir, approved by UGC. He is writing poetry in English, Urdu, and the Kashmiri language. Besides English, he has written many poems in Urdu and the Kashmiri language, posting them on Facebook, Instagram, and other blogs. In addition to poetry, he also writes prose. He is also a passionate reader of books like art, literature, science, etc.
