  • MY COLLECTION OF SUPERNATURAL & PARANORMAL STORIES AND THE STORY OF CRAFTY GEORGE AND HIS WICKED WAYS. by: Vinay Trilokekar 152.00

Adam and Judy peeped through a small gap they had made in the branches in front of them. There was a crowd of hippies and Apaches with their half-naked bodies tattooed with weird pictures. There was a lot of dancing, foot-stomping, and hand-clapping and many were making weird gestures and singing in some strange language- “La lu, £@~¥€shkalaka”. It was some sort of ritual no doubt, thought Adam. Then the whole thing turned into a crescendo.

At this very moment, Adam and Judy stretched their necks and their heads jutted out of the foliage completely. In the center was a pile of logs, arranged in a pyre, as the one Hindus use for burning their dead in a funeral ritual. However, lying on the pyre was a naked woman, not dead but alive. She was waving her arms in some sort of dance form and touching those who was bending over her. Everyone seemed to be in some sort of a trance. Judy had leaned on Adam’s back and he could feel her heart pounding rapidly. And even hear her heart-beat – lub dub, lub dub……

Suddenly, one of the dancing men opened the lady’s mouth, slashed his own finger, and let his blood trickle down her open mouth. Blood covered her whole face and trickled down her chin, neck, and breast.

Judy gasped and gasped quite loudly, exclaiming, “Oh my God!”.

  • CLOCK TOWERS OF INDIA by: Dr.Yatindra Pal Singh 1,600.00

Clock towers, commonly known as ‘Ghantaghar’, are very popular structures available in many
cities of India. Apart from telling the time, they tell the history of the place. They are
architectural master pieces, built in different styles of architecture depending upon who
constructed them. Unfortunately, not much information about these clock towers is available and
they have not been chronicled. Even the public is not aware about the existence of clock towers
in their city. Therefore, it’s no surprise that these clock towers are standing uncared for, many in
dilapidated state. There is urgent need to preserve these heritage structures and initiate steps to
renovate and bring them to their old glory.
The author has included 99 clock towers, existing in 57 cities spread over 15 States and 3 Union
Territories of India, in this book. The book introduces the cities, mentioning interesting facts
about their history and traces the details of construction of the clock towers. The author has also
outlined a plan of action for making the maintenance of clock towers self sustaining. The book is
of interest to the tourists, students of history, architecture and engineering and the municipalities
of various cities having clock towers.

If one has the perseverance and resilience one can do wonders with their life. What matters at the end of the day is whether we make a living by what we get or we make a life by what we give.

It does not matter whether the thought is positive or dissenting, it will get seeded deep if we constantly keep on working with it. The book conceptualizes and compares life to a garden where every seed we let in the soil will reap into a plant. As we read more, the chapters enclose how to cultivate this life into a garden of content and happiness. We all have been provided just one life and in this one life, we have one opportunity to cultivate the best garden of life. The book unfolds chapter by chapter on how to select a seed carefully, sow them and harvest the best garden to cherish. It does not matter where we are in our lives right now, what age group we are, what we wish to pursue in our lives, if we understand the basics right and make them clear in our life, nobody can stop our garden from being burgeoned into the one we all would love to adore and live each day. We all have the capability to turn our lives into the cream of a crop and enjoy the delicacy each day!”
