The book aims to implant the importance of language acquisition in the minds of learners of rural and tribal areas. Universally, any language should be seen as a skill subject rather than a content subject. To a large extent, the English language should be valued as a skill subject and not as a content subject. The teaching should be directed towards an equitable distribution of four basic skills. India is one of the largest countries using English as a second language. Still, English is regarded as a foreign language by many people in India. Particularly, the rural and indigenous people have a hostile outlook towards the English language, because they still regard it as a foreign language rather than a global language. The learners from the rural areas and hillsides are at higher risk of repeating a grade and dropping out of school due to the lack of proper teaching. The exposure of a second language is not available physically and virtually to the rural and indigenous learners in their ambience. As we altogether know, education does not provide immediate income; the parents of the rural and indigenous students are interested in instant income by transporting their students to the workplace than to school. In general, rural and indigenous students are at the lowest point of literacy rate and at a higher risk of dropping out, compared to the rest. Thus, the book is intended to bring a revival in rural education by providing classroom-based exposure through the means of effective production of ELT materials in a second language classroom.
