Suhail Jeelani Shah

Dr. Suhail Jeelani Shah Ph.D., NET, SET Lecturer of Zoology, Govt. Degree College Tral, Kashmir Dr. Suhail graduated from the university of Kashmir in 2007. He completed his post-graduation in Zoology with a first-class from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi (U.P) in 2010, where he also developed expertise in cell & molecular biology. In 2011, he joined the Vector Control Research Centre, A collaborative Institute of WHO & ICMR and registered for a Doctorate degree under Pondicherry Central University. In VCRC, He was also appointed as a part-time tutor for M.Sc. Public Health Entomology. In 2011, Dr. Suhail was awarded the prestigious Moulana Azad National Fellowship for Minorities (MANF) by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi for doing Ph.D in Zoology. In 2015, Suhail qualified National Eligibility Test for lecturership in life sciences, jointly held by CSIR & UGC. In 2016, he qualified for the State-Level Eligibility Test (SLET) for lecturership held by Kashmir University. In October, 2016 he was awarded Ph.D. in Zoology by Pondicherry Central University. Dr. Suhail is an active member of many medical associations and societies, including the Royal Society of Public Health (RSPH) London, the Malaysian Society for parasitology & Tropical Medicine (MSPTM) and The Pondicherry Science Forum Society. He holds Membership of the NRC Research Press (Canadian Science Publishing), International Association for Ecology (INTECOL). He has participated in a number of seminars and has spoken at many conferences, including the 5th International Conference on Climate Change and Sustainable Management of Natural Resources’’ and National Conference on Electron Microscopy and Allied Fields & XXX Annual Meeting of EMSI-2009. Dr. Suhail has authored few books and also published many research papers in various journals of national & international repute. He is also registered editorial board member and reviewer of many international journals. He is currently working as a lecturer on academic arrangement in department of higher education, Government of Jammu & Kashmir.
