Lucky to be born to parents who never forced their dreams on their children, the author grew up in a healthy environment, in the constant company of books. Sucking the nectar from the wonderland of wisdom and imagination, she remained in the enticing and cosy cocoon. One day, to her utter surprise, she felt soft, silky wings sprouting forth, eager to spread out and taste the wind. The wings kept changing colours, sometimes soft hues of baby pink and shimmering, pale blue. Sometimes deep bottle green or simple, blood-red patches. With a mind seasoned with pain and pleasure, the ebb and flow of joy and sorrow, she has dared to fly and tread the royal path of the chosen few.
