“It is increasingly a dog eat dog world and nothing is permanent. It is futile to expect humans to be humane, be it your family or your workplace. If you have seen the movie movie “Up in the Air”, you will understand what I mean. Whether you are the lady engineer who sacrificed time and energy to create a successful new system or a father who invested his emotion and time in your son, you are no longer immune to the dreaded pink slip. I have portrayed this world with a bit of truth and plenty of imagination. I hope this book makes us think and reevaluate our priorities.
"I am 75 years old and It is funny that I have a written a work of fiction at this age. It all happened when one fine morning I lost my job. The amount of emotion invested in the company looked meaningless. That day, I decided that I won’t do the same job again. Instead, I decided to pursue my passion for language and writing. Having studied in a vernacular (Tamil) medium school up to 10th standard, I have taught myself to read, write and speak not only English but also Italian and Spanish. After retirement, I started sending articles to many magazines. Headstart, Times of India, Bombay Times and Free Press Journal found merit in and published my work. I also became an approved Tourist Guide for Incredible India. This phase of my life has been exciting and this book is just the beginning. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did writing it."
