She practices architecture, resorts to travel and captures the essence of a space through her lens. Meet Tania Shah, a professor at a School of Architecture in Mumbai. Born in Srinagar, Tania moved to Mumbai to study architecture at prestigious Sir JJ College of Architecture and since then is living there with her husband and two children.
Her interest in photography came from being an aesthetically sensitive person and capturing still life around her. Being an architect, creating frames came naturally to her. She started representing architecture and urban spaces through the medium of photography, discovering what is beyond the eye and exhibiting her experience of space.
This book, ‘Expeditions Through My Lens’, is a tribute to her travels which did not happen since the Covid-19 breakout, where she has narrated the architectural tales that she has encountered in the last two decades.
