Born on 15th August 1945, Dr. Santosh Saksena had his school education at Cambridge School and St. Joseph’s Convent, Bhopal. After Graduation and Post- graduation in Geology from Motilal Vigyan Mahavidhalaya, Bhopal he joined as Lecturer in Geology at J.S.T. P.G. College, Balaghat. Dr. Saksena specialized in Petroleum Geology from Western Washington State College, Bellingham, U.S.A. After returning from abroad, he could not join O.N.G.C., because of some unforeseen circumstances and returned to his parent department. He did his P.hD. from Dr. Hari Singh Gour University, Sagar on Geohydrological studies of Balaghat area.
