It is a well-known fact that folktales are so interesting that even if a person is travelling and has a chance to listen, he stops and prefers listening instead of going ahead. Folktales are the reflection of the people who lived and experienced life in a more wonderful way than us. The way they are told by the elders and nestors are like the gems coming out of their mouth. All these tales need to be compiled, preserved and shared, otherwise they will fall into the deep well of ignorance.
Already an author of CROWN AND CROSS, HARFA DE RISHTE, writer, composer, and singer of so many songs like Chhalla (Brian Drain) and GUR DI REWDI, Sandeep is a keen observer of what is happening around. Sensing that folktales are losing ground, he has tried to grasp, compile, and collect the old-but-gold ideas of valuable people. It is well said that the sayings of the wise and the values of eating gooseberries (Amla) are relished in the long run. A lecturer by profession, the author has mirrored the time-tested wisdom of folk people through these stories. MIRROR OF LIFE is an initiative by him to bring these stories into the mainstream, so that the forgotten threads of folktales may become the golden threads of life.
