,the place of women in the society,spirituality,man and nature and the eternal battle between life and death form the major themes of the collection.

Manabendra kuila is an Indian teacher employed at Khajuri High School,Howrah, Kolkata,West Bengal.He also worked in Tamralipta Mahavidyalaya for four years.He comes from a middle class family of Tamluk,which was known as Tamralipta in colonized India.
