Vijay Chenji
Col (Dr) Vijay Chenji is an alumnus of National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla, Pune. During BanglaDesh war of 1971, he saw action on the Western front. He has served in the north-east in counter-insurgency operations, at the world's highest forward airfield at Fukche, in Ladakh, ( where his Company was deployed), in Sikkim Heights, Rajasthan desert. He participated in joint exercises with Navy and Airforce while commanding the Amphibious Battalion. He is recipient of Army Chief's Commendation Card. He has masters degree in ancient history and a M Phil . He holds a PhD degree. He is widely travelled and has visited over two dozen countries.
