Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Philosophy of Meditation focuses on understanding the self, its inner resources and strengths, and developing attributes.True knowledge of soul, however, is not a matter of superficial importance nor is to be left to some philosophers or religious scholars to discuss. Since every one of us is a conscient being, it concerns us all individually and severally. To deny ourselves the true knowledge of consciousness is to deny ourselves the right and the duty of living a meaningful life. Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Meditation is a very vast subject but the present book is very small because the purpose of this book is not to take the reader into a jungle of ideas or to acquaint him with maximum theoretical knowledge. Instead, the object of this book is to lay down briefly only the most fundamental truths, on which the science of meditation is based and to lead the reader to its practice and at the earliest so that he can himself learn further the theory in its depth and can realize the ultimate truth and taste the bliss. It would be better if, while going through this book, the reader does not compare the Meditation, explained here, to the one expounded by other authors or commentators, ancient or modern, but studies and practices it as it is, as the Meditation taught by Supreme Soul (God Shiva). This will give the reader’s mind an understanding of the exposition in its pure, unadulterated and unblurred form, with the result that the reader, being free of any confusion and mental conflict, would be able to practice Raja Yoga smoothly. Practical Meditation is highly recommended for those who are beginning to discover the beauty and strength of their inner world. More and more, we human beings are realizing the need to develop the power of the mind, as we try to keep up with the ever-increasing pace of life and complexities.
