Wg Cdr Rajeeve Lochan
Rajeeve Lochan is from the 31 st Navigators Course and was commissioned into IAF on 16 th May 1965. He flew Caribou, Dakota, Super Constellation, and Canberra aircraft during his career. He flew extensively in the hills of Arunachal Pradesh and other regions of North-East India, besides various other parts of the country. He participated in the 1965 and 1971 Wars. During his tenure in Caribous, he was the Navigator of the aircraft that crashed immediately after take-off due technical failure, in November 1966; fortunately all crew members survived. Later, he got qualified in Missile Systems, and served in Missile Squadrons and Missile Wings. He also held various appointments in Headquarters Central Air Command (CAC) of IAF. He had the unique distinction of being the longest serving Officer Commanding CAC (Unit) from Nov 1977 to Apr 1981, at that time. During second tenure in Caribous, he held the appointment of Navigation Leader. He took premature retirement from IAF in 1987 in the rank of Wing Commander.

Wing Commander Kamal Deep is from the 63 rd Navigators Course and was commissioned on 29 th December 1982. He flew Avro, Caribou, An-32 and Il-76 aircraft over the entire length and breadth of the country as also in foreign airspaces. He participated in various IAF operations including Op Pawan (Sri Lanka) and Op Vijay (Kargil operations), latter as Navigation Leader of a frontline operational transport squadron. A Qualified Navigation Instructor, he served in various capacities in IAF’s operational units and training establishments, as also performed the role of Air Force Examiner. He served as officiating Chief Instructor of Fixed Wing Training Faculty at Air Force Station, Yelahanka for 10 months. He has participated in joint exercises with foreign Air Forces. He also served at Air Headquarters.
