Priti Gorsia Chawla was born in Calcutta (now Kolkata) in 1963. Growing up, she studied Core Mathematics till Higher Secondary Level. Over the next 15 years, she taught mathematics, informally, across all school boards while running her Interior design business. She came across Vedic Mathematics when she attended a few workshops with the legendary Shakuntala Devi, while in her school years, and has been, ever since, exploring the subject. She moved to Mumbai, in 1992, after her marriage. As a housewife, she continued to teach maths and also developed a keen interest in cooking, naturopathy and cosmetology. Over the years, she has written four cookbooks that will soon be released as well. She is also keenly interested in music, crosswords, sudoku and sports like tennis, squash and swimming. She is a qualified Vedic Maths trainer and this is her first book on the subject.
