"Dr Shilpa Nandy, Assistant Professor of Political Science is serving at Khudiram Bose Central College affiliated to the University of Calcutta. She has done her Post Graduation and MPhil from University of Calcutta. She was awarded PhD from the Rabindra Bharati University. She has published 21 articles (including 7 accepted) in different National and International Peer-reviewed journals and edited books possessing ISBN Number. She has completed an MRP (Minor) sponsored by the UGC on Socio-Economic and Political Status of Fisherwomen Community of West Bengal: A Study of Purba Midnapore and South 24 Pgns districts . She is the Chief Editor of Pragya – A Peer Reviewed Academic journal with ISSN of Khudiram Bose Central College; Matsyakanya – A Newsletter on Gender and Fisheries and Newsletter of Bengal Institute of Political Studies. She is also an Executive Member of DISHA (NGO) , Advisory Member of Dakshin Banga Matsyajibi Forum (Organisation of Fisherfolk Community), Member of National Platform for Women Fish Workers and also an Executive Member of Bengal Institute of Political Studies (BIPS).
