Rear Admiral Rakesh Pandit was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 01 January 1977. He is an alumnus of the 49th Course, National Defence Academy, Pune, and did his schooling at Sainik School, Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. In a career spanning four decades, he served with distinction in several prestigious assignments ashore, afloat and abroad. He is a specialist in ‘Missiles and Gunnery’ and in ‘Amphibious Warfare’ (trained with the US Marines at AWS, Quantico, USA). He commissioned and commanded the Guided Missile Frigate, INS Betwa and commanded the LST(L) INS Gharial. He served as the Naval Advisor, High Commission of India, Islamabad, Pakistan (1995-98), on a diplomatic assignment. A graduate, BSc, from JNU, New Delhi and a Postgraduate, ‘Master in Defence Studies, from Madras University.
He was elevated to Flag Rank in Aug 2006. His assignments as a Rear Admiral included Naval Doctrines, Intelligence, Operations and Defence procurements. He was awarded the Nau Sena Medal (NM) for ‘Devotion to Duty’ in 2002. In 2013, for “Meritorious Service of an Extra-ordinary Order”, he was decorated with the ‘Ati Vishishth Sewa Medal’ by the President of India. He retired in November 2014. A few years later in 2017, a divine mandate ushered him into the world of Energy Healing, Commencing June 2018, he has healed over 400 patients.
Mrs. Kiran Pandit hails from an Indian Air force family, with her late father, brother and brother-in-law, all being test pilots. She is a very qualified and experienced special educator, who specialized in the education of the Hearing Impaired. She dedicated her voluntary services to ‘Sankalp’, the Indian Navy’s School for Special Children, for 15 years. She is a Reiki Master and shares her husband’s passion for healing with a qualification in various energy healing therapies.
