“The life goes on… It’s a journey which every mortal takes. Many just survive. Many live it. A few attempt to understand it, a few derive a meaning out of it and a very few stop by and put it together for others to be sensitized and these very few are the revolutionaries called writers. The writer that I know is a flow which is unstoppable, unfathomable, and eternal. His being comes with a destined and predefined role for the communities and generations alike. I am humbled and pleased to introduce Sh. Shivcharan Jaggi Kussa ji, the man who is thoughtful, the writer who is bold and vociferous, and a person who is so approachable and amenable. He comes from Punjab, India, and so is the vivid reflection seen in the novels and stories written by him. The characters and incidents are portrayed as seen and observed by him, without twisting or bending them. His stories, satires and poems have been widely published internationally and they revolve around social issues, orthodox beliefs and identity sought within communities. Having published 34 books by now, he has been felicitated by organizations around the world with 7 gold medals and 17 achievement awards which include some prominent awards like Punjab is in Britain All Party Parliamentary Group Cultural Awards 2010 by House of Commons, UK. He has been accorded the title of Nanak Singh Novelist and has been bestowed with Balwant Gargi award. We all thank him for connecting us with the roots, enlightening us like true son of the land and look forward to many such journeys with his novels and books.
