Roop Narayan Batham (Born 1943) is an art historian, lexicographer and museologist. In his
illustrious career, spanning over 50 years, he has been credited with producing and converting
academic and general reference material on global art in Hindi and other Indian languages. To
support non-English speaking students and teachers in India, he has compiled art reference books
like, Definitional Dictionary of Global Art Terms (English – Hindi), which is being translated
and published by Govt. of India in 22 approved languages. Roop Narayan’s other works, An
encyclopedic reference book of global art and Dictionary of Modern Creative and Vocational
Arts (English – Hindi) are in progress.
Nimisha Kesarwani is an adjunct Faculty at Singapore’s prestigious, Nanyang Academy of Fine
arts, where she teaches Arts Management and Marketing for the Creative Industries. She is also
the founder of Paintings ETC, a web portal dealing in South and Southeast Asian art.
Nimisha holds a PhD in Business Administration from Singapore Management University and a
Master’s in Arts Management from University of London.
