Scintillae

Scintillae is an attempt to distill the essence of love and despair, hope and redemption into the elusive beauty of verse, as they lie entwined in the bewildering maze of time. Comprising rhymed poetry, free verse, and a collection of quatrains, this book does not wish to shower pioneering wisdom, or blaze a trail with a revolutionary brand of poetry. Instead, its objective is simple- to provide some precious moments of respite from the relentless onslaught of time. The themes of the poems, whether in isolation or coalesced, are derived from the poet’s observations and philosophy of life. For Priyam, the world is a composite of contraries, and Scintillae involves contemplating such paradoxes, chiefly through the prism of love and its concomitant feelings.
