Today’s woman has progressed tremendously in every sphere of life. She’s equal to a man in all dimensions. Yet, she is looked upon as a weak individual, her status still remains unequal.
Although a woman has equal, rather at times more responsibilities than a man, she does not receive the appreciation or the support that she so deserves. After a long day at work, a man gets tired and hopes to relax at home but a woman is not accorded the same luxury.

In this book “Ek Gaatha…Banita”, the angst of a wife is portrayed. She has everything, yet she feels empty. Caught up in the domestic struggle of keeping everyone happy, the characters in this book Reema and Mrs. Ranjana are today’s women, go-getters in every sense of the word, walking shoulder to shoulder with men in every walk of life. But their life is laced with sadness as they fulfil everyone’s demands except their own. They have no time for their parents nor themselves. In the light of the day, they shine the brightest but when darkness falls their existence is reduced to nothing.
