Dr .K .Lakshmi Rao is an Educationist for over 4 decades. Born on 21st May 1961 in Rourkela Orissa, and hailed from a culturally affluent family began showing interest in Literature from a very young age, She was well acquainted with theatre art, dance, and music apart from authoring a few skits for the schools from the early 80s. She grew up as an extravert and actively engaged herself in Sports up to State-level in Throw Ball and Athletics from her childhood. She has written various articles on Education in magazines like Brainfeed, The Teacher, Teacher Plus, digital magazines. She has also written short stories in Kathasagar for kids. She is a blogger on Kathakalpvriksh a series to integrate and translate Telugu poems by Vemana into English with mythological illustrations focusing on Life Skills for kids and young adults. She has designed a curriculum namely PEARL, DELIGHT, and WHOLE BRAIN and at present engaged in designing SPORTS INTEGRATED CURRICULUM TEXTBOOKS from Classes Early childhood to Grade 10. Apart from being a writer she is a teacher trainer and has established a Centre for Professional development with an intention to improve quality education in India.
