M. K. Sudarshan is a graduate of the Madras University from Loyola College, Chennai, and a qualified Chartered Accountant. After a 35-year-old long and successful international career in corporate finance, he now lives with his wife in Chennai, pursuing wider interests in Indian philosophy, world history and comparative religious literature, studies, and writing. His related interests are classical South Indian music, the history of Hindu temples in India and travelling worldwide. Sudarshan traces his ancestral roots in his native town in Tirupati to the forebears on the paternal side of his family through his grandmother to the “Thozhappachariars” of Tirumala who were the descendants of the maternal uncle of Sri Ramanujachaarya, Sri Tirumalai Nambi (11th century CE) and to the “Madabhooshi-vamsha” through his paternal grandfather who was a leading lawyer in Tirupati. Sudarshan is the son of the renowned Carnatic Musician Sangita Kalanidhi, (late) Smt. Mani Krishnaswami, who was the "Asthaana Vidwan" of the Tirumala Temple and the Ahobila Math. Other published book of the author on Sri Vaishnavism: “Unusual Essays of an Unknown Sri Vaishnava” (2021 – Mainspring Books, LA, USA)
