Hiranya Borah
The author, Hiranya Borah hails from Chatia, a backward village of erstwhile Darrang District of Assam. His parents were school teachers and his early schooling upto matriculation was in his parental village. He passed out from Cotton College, as a science graduate in 1981. During his college days, he was the editor of the college magazine. He took his master degree and M.Phil degree from Delhi University in 1983 and 1984 respectively. At present he is a senior officer of Government of India and posted at New Delhi. In the last few years he has published more than 189 ebooks and has published 11 English books and two Assamese books in print. He prefers to write in simple English which can be understood by one and all. Apart from writing books, he is also a motivational speaker for the youngsters. His latest book, Chandraprabha: The Iron Lady of Assam had been received by the Hon’ble PM and tweeted from his personal twitter handle.
